Trysail is a small, friendly RYA Motor and Sailing School, Training Centre and Yacht Charter business based in Falmouth, Cornwall that prides itself on quality training and personal service. Established in 1993 by Master Mariner Peter Morgan, Trysail has continued to become a well-regarded and thriving Cornish based RYA Training Centre and Yacht Charter centre.

We offer the full range of RYA practical cruising courses from our base in Falmouth, Cornwall including:

The beautiful and sheltered cruising waters of the South Cornish Coast provided us with the perfect area in which to train. We regularly visit Devon and the Isles of Scilly whenever we can on our courses, weather permitting of course!

Being one of the most southerly RYA training centres on the UK mainland we enjoy a warmer climate and extended sailing season. Most years we continue through the winter with some of our best spells of fine weather occurring out of season.

We also regularly schedule Mileage Building Cruises taking us further from the Cornish coastline to the Channel Islands, Northern Brittany and the magical Isles of Scilly.

The quality of our service extends through our accredited, experienced, friendly instructors, training vessels (well found and proven boats that we LOVE to sail), and to the fine food onboard.

Motor Cruising Courses in Cornwall
Our local Cornish waterways are also an ideal training ground for motor cruising. We offer the full range of RYA practical courses from our base in Falmouth including:

We run all courses from our base in Falmouth, Cornwall with the same emphisis on relaxed, quality training. All vessels are maintained to the highest standards and are fully coded for Commercial use.

Our instructors are relaxed amiable and experienced in the classroom. We believe learning should be fun and enjoyable so we try to make the courses relaxed and informal. Whatever your pace of learning you will given the time to absorb at your own rate.

Trysail Yacht Charters from Falmouth or Plymouth
We also charter a select number of yachts, bareboat or skippered, from either Falmouth or Plymouth which provide perfect bases from which to explore the best of Cornish waters including Devon as well as the Isles of Scilly, the Channel Islands, and Northern Brittany.
