Cornish Riding Holidays
Cornish Riding Holidays are a family run equestrian centre open all the year around for lessons, hacking and riding holidays. Set in the heart of the beautiful Cornish Countryside in an area steeped in the history of seafaring and the World Heritage Site of the Mineral Tramways. Fully licensed, insured and approved by the British Horse Society, Association of British Riding Schools and OFSTED. All their friendly, energetic Instructors are qualified, CRB checked and First Aid trained. There are 50+ horses schooled in all disciplines, which include grade C show jumpers, medium level dressage horses and novice eventers. They are lucky enough to have outstanding off road hacking, indoor and outdoor arenas and a progressive series of cross country jumps. Adult holidays are run during term time and are tailored to suit the individual at no extra cost. Unaccompanied children's and family holidays are held during school breaks. All holiday prices are fully inclusive of riding, accommodation and food.
Children’s holidays run from Sunday after lunch until Saturday after lunch, though shorter breaks of 2 days or more are available (not during peak times). Children have a set programme; their whole day being taken up with horse activities including lessons, hacks, mock hunt, riding on the beach, a day ride, care of the pony and a horse show and gymkhana. In the evenings, the staff take them to the cinema, swimming and shopping. They also go in the hot tub and have a BBQ. Families with children are welcome at this time as well as individual children. Cornish Riding Holidays can collect free of charge from Redruth Railway or bus station and can also arrange collection from Newquay airport for a fee. Adult holidays are run during term time. Tailored to suit the individual, riding is more or less unlimited and most people choose a mixture of lessons and hacks. All food (including snacks), accommodation and riding is included in the price. Accommodation is in a modernised stone bungalow, solely for holiday guests use, with spectacular sea views and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty . Drinks and snacks are available for guests to help themselves to throughout the day. There is also a 7 man jacuzzi hot tub to relax in at the end of a hard days riding. Holidays are suitable for all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced, you will be surprised at what you can achieve. Individuals as well as small groups are welcome.
